In today’s dynamic marketplace, retailers are increasingly recognizing the value of resilient, sustainable supply chains. Home Depot, one of the largest North American home improvement retailers, is leveraging hydrogen’s unique value and environmental proposition to establish an industry-leading distribution strategy.
As part of its $1.2 billion investment in its North American delivery network, the company recently announced the opening of a new 1.5 million-square-foot distribution center in Dallas, Texas.
The facility will help meet customers’ evolving delivery needs, including for online and in-store pickup orders. As with its other distribution centers in other North American centers, Plug Power zero-emission hydrogen fuel cell systems will power the facility’s material handling fleets, including GenFuel hydrogen dispensers, storage and compression equipment as well as green hydrogen fuel.
